HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
Wishing you all the best for 2012.
We’ve had an amazing year at Lightworx Media. We moved into our wonderful new offices, Hoverchase was our first 4D film release, Starhyke premiered on TV and we set up a new channel on Sky for CNC (Chinese News Channel). It’s been a very successful year and we look forward to fulfilling all of our plans for 2012.
Next year we will be creating two new edit suites (online and offline) ready for the postproduction on a couple of feature films, as well as the postproduction on more 4D animated films for the attractions market. Starhyke: First Flight will be the first project completed in 2012.
We hope you’ve had a prosperous 2011 too and that it will continue into 2012.
As you relax and begin to get over the festivities of Christmas day, here’s the fourth and final festive podcast from Starhyke.
The wonderful Claudia Christian tells a heart-warming Christmas story.
Happy Christmas everyone!
We hope you have a wonderful day today. To get you started, here’s the third of our Christmas podcasts.
A message from the luscious Vilma Down (Fiona Reynard)
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. But in thelandofStarhyke, out in space a new podcast was opening to bring a smile to your face.
A Christmas message from Reginald Duck (Simon Lewis)
As part of the Starhyke premiere season, we’ve created four podcasts which are being launched on Youtube and Facebook over the Christmas Holidays.
This is the first of the podcasts, enjoy.
From everyone at Starhyke and Lightworx Media, have a wonderful Christmas!

On other news, we’ve just completed a stereoscopic 3D music promo. In early December, we teamed up with Neil Richards at The Digital Film Company to film our first stereoscopic 3D music promo. Too Funky Too is the debut track from new dance and urban sensation Deyn S and Rythmic featuring the vocal talents of Eliza.
We filmed the promo in two days, shooting at the Platform One club in Clifton (Bristol) as well as at the old Bridewell police cells. 3D is an amazing medium and used correctly can be another powerful storytelling tool in the hands of the director. The cast and crew did an amazing job and everyone had a really positive experience. Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out in front of and behind camera, especially Neil Richards (3D camera), Paul Dudbridge (DoP) and Keiran McGreevy (1st AD). Also a huge thanks to Nelson and Benji Walsh who helped find the club location and many of the dancers for the promo.
